Are you a fan of flowers and butterflies?
When I was in New Orleans for a trade show last year, I got caught in a downpour of rain and ended up finding shelter at the Insectarium. Usually I'm pretty squeamish when it comes to creepy crawly bugs, but this insectarium also had a butterfly room. So I was intrigued to say the least. After walking through the terrariums filled with various beetles, ants, spiders, and other insects, I found myself entering the butterfly room. And it was worth being creeped out to get in there!
The butterfly room was filled with a wide variety of plants and had hundreds of colorful butterflies flitting around. We weren't allowed to touch the butterflies, but some of them did decide to land on me for a quick second. Seeing so many species of butterflies with different pattern markings and designs was inspiring. Little did I know, this insectarium is the largest museum in North America dedicated to insects!
That evening, I spent time sketching out various butterfly inspired designs in different hoop shapes. I even started stitching a few during that trip. But something about those early designs weren't sitting right with me. So instead of continuing to force the pattern into being, I set the hoop aside. This winter I finally picked it up again. That time in between made it easy to come back to it, make a few changes, and love the design. And now Butterfly Garden is an intermediate embroidery kit you can stitch too!

Butterfly Garden Intermediate Embroidery Kit
What is an intermediate embroidery kit?
MCreativeJ offer three different embroidery kit skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Intermediate kits build on basic stitches and are a more in-depth stitch project. You may use more complicated embroidery stitches or stitches in new ways to create depth and dimension in a design. No matter what MCreativeJ embroidery kit you embroider, each one will walk you through from start to finish with detailed step by step photo instructions.
Butterfly Garden uses 10 different hand embroidery stitches to help you create a gorgeous garden filled with textural flowers perfect for any butterfly. The butterflies is this kit were inspired by the Zebra Swallowtail butterfly.
