It's been a little while since I filmed a FlossTube- sorry about that. My goal this year was to film a monthly FlossTube, well it's now March and this is my first, maybe second FlossTube video, of the year. So not off to a great start. But I filmed a new video and I'm excited to share it with you!
This month I'm sharing some behind the scenes on big and small projects I've been working on. You'll get a first look at the advanced kit ideas I'm playing around with, the newest stick and stitch pattern pack I designed, a kit collaboration in the works, and the cover of my third book, 3D Botanical Embroidery and Stumpwork. I know, it's a lot packed into one video.

This year, another one of my goals is to design and create a few new advanced embroidery kits. I'm very happy with how my latest Under the Sea inspired design is coming together. I've also started on a 3D flower design that I'm not entirely sure of yet. This might be one of the designs I have to noodle on for a while.
Along with new kits in the works, I've recently designed a new stick and stitch pattern pack that features Dye Plants. These botanicals are all used in the dyeing process and I'm very happy with how this turned out. In this pattern pack you'll find indigo, woad, weld, matter, sumac, marigold, coreopsis plants.
Over the past few months I've also been working on a kit collaboration with fellow fiber artist Anne from Flax and Twine. We're working on a collection of botanical embroidery kits that use Valdani thread. I don't normally stitch with Valdani thread so it's been interesting to try.
And lastly, but certainly not least, the cover design for my third book, 3D Botanical Embroidery and Stumpwork is finally here! I'm beyond excited about this book and can't wait for it to be published this fall. If you want to get a copy for yourself, you can pre-order it now from your favorite book store.
