What is Thread Gloss?
Let me tell you! It's a specially formulated wax and oil blend that coats your thread to prevent tangles, fraying, and brittleness. Think of it as a deep conditioner for your thread and embroidery floss. Mojave Blend Thread Gloss contains local beeswax, organic coconut oil, and the following essential oils and extracts: organic creosote bush oil, (grown in the Mojave desert, distilled in Yucca Valley), agave, organic grapeseed oil, lime, sweet orange, guava, petitgrain, lemongrass. Each gloss is made by hand in Olympia, Washington.
Does Thread Gloss Really Work?
Have you ever had your thread tangle up while stitching? Using thread gloss helps prevent tangles and knots, taking away all of the frustration of handwork.
What Kinds of Crafts Can Thread Gloss Be Used With?
Anything that you're dealing with cotton thread: hand embroidery, hand quilting, cross-stitch, English paper piecing, applique, repairing clothes, visible mending, whatever. Simply drag your thread across the gloss container after threading your needle, applying slight pressure on the thread with your thumb, while pulling with your other hand.
