Reverse Chain Stitch
The reverse chain stitch creates a line of loops linked together, similar to a chain link bracelet. It's one of my favorite stitches because it add a denser texture on the from of the fabric and when stitched in rows next to one other it can look like knitting. Use this DIY video and step-by-step tutorial to learn how to embroider the reverse chain stitch.

Reverse Chain Stitch Step-by-Step Tutorial
1. Start by making a short back stitch at the beginning of the line. This is a short straight stitch.

2. Next, similar to the back stitch, bring the needle up through the fabric a short distance away from the end of the back stitch.

3. Pass the needle underneath the back stitch. Gently tug the thread all the way through and bring your needle back down where you started the stitch, making a small chain link.
4. Repeat adding links to the line. Bring the needle up through the fabric a short distance away from the end of the last chain link. Now slide the needle underneath both strands of that chain link. Bring the needle back through the back where the stitch started. Add links for the length of the line. Every time a new row of the reverse chain stitch is started, always start with a back stitch.
