Peking Knot Stitch
The Peking knot is sometimes referred to as the Chinese knot or loop knot. This stitch creates a loop or circle of thread on the front of the fabric. It's a playful 3D embroidery stitch that creates a raised effect. Use this DIY video and step-by-step tutorial to learn how to embroider the Peking knot stitch.
What you'll need to create the peking knot stitch:

1. Bring the needle up at the base of the knot.

2. Then cross the thread over itself to create a loop. The working thread should be on the back of the loop.
3. Cinch the loop down towards the fabric, creating the size loop you want for this stitch. Once you have the size loop you want, create a short stitch over the crossed thread. Be sure to NOT go back down in the same spot, otherwise the loop won't stay. This creates one peking knot.
