The granitos stitch creates a rounded and thicker stitch on the fabric. It can be used to create flower buds, moss, and more while adding raised texture to a project. Use this DIY video and step-by-step tutorial to learn how to embroider the granitos stitch.

1. The granitos stitch creates a raised oval on the front of the fabric. Start by bringing the needle up from the back of the fabric to the front. The make a short stitch forward, the length of the granitos stitch.

2. Next, bring the needle back up through the fabric at the start of the straight stitch. Then go back down through the bottom of the straight stitch. Gently pull the thread close to the fabric, pressing it to the side of the straight stitch.



3. Repeat on the other side. Bring the needle back up in the top of the straight stitch. Then go back down through the fabric at the bottom of the straight stitch, gently pressing the thread to the left of the stitch. This creates one granitos stitch.
