Fly Stitch
The fly stitch is a V shaped stitch that can be used for birds, plants, leaves, to fill in shapes, and more. Use this DIY video and step-by-step tutorial to learn how to embroider the fly stitch.

Fly Stitch Step-by-Step Tutorial
1. Start by bringing the needle up through the fabric at the top corner of the V on the fly stitch. Hold the thread towards the bottom point of the V, then bring the needle back down through the fabric at the other top point of the V.
2. Gently tug so that the thread becomes a U on the front of the fabric.
3. Bring the needle up through the fabric, inside the U shape. Gently tug so that the U becomes a V.
4. Finish the fly stitch by making a short taking stitch around the point of the V.
