Beaded Seed Stitch Step-by-Step Tutorial
1. The beaded seed stitch is a great way to attach beads to fill in sections. Start by bring the needle up from the back of the fabric to the front. Slide a bead on to the needle and down the thread so that it’s flush with the fabric. Then make a short stitch forward in any direction to fill the space.
2. Next, leave a space away from the previous stitch and bring the needle back up through the fabric. Slide the bead onto the thread and then make another short stitch forward in a different direction.
3. Continue filling the space with short, small stitches that go in different directions.
TIP: For this stitch, the bead should easily slide down the needle and thread. If it doesn’t, switch to a thinner needle/ one with a smaller eye or try using a beading needle.
