I was surprised to learn that the projects in Everyday Folk use just two embroidery stitches-cross stitch and backstitch. These two stitches are a simple yet effective way to help you create a wide variety of beautiful and useful household items.
I love that Krista uses playful colors in her modern interpretation of traditional folk patterns. Each embroidery project includes clear, detailed instructions and a design library of over 175 charts. Not only will you have plenty of projects to stitch, you'll also have a wide selection of patterns to reference in the future.
I also loved the variety of project uses included in Everyday Folk. So often you work on a project and then wonder what you'll do with it, or don't start it because you're not sure what you'll do with it when it's done. Thankfully Krista lays out the project for you, so you have a clear idea of the end use.
