Want to Embroider Botanical Postage Stamps?
I fell down a rabbit hole of fine line tattoo trends on TikTok and found that postage stamp or framed designs are very trendy right now. I'm not one to follow trends, but I love the idea of cute little postage stamp patterns. So I got to sketching in my notebook and before I knew it, I had a few pages of botanical postage stamp designs.
After narrowing down my pattern selections, I digitized 6 of the botanical stamp patterns and started embroidering. After the first few stitches, I was in love!
Combining vintage postage stamps with modern botanical designs, my new Botanical Postage Stamp Peel Stick and Pattern pack was born.
This pattern pack includes 6 nature inspired postage stamp patterns that are 1.5x1.75 inches in size. The patterns are water soluble designs that can be embroidered on fabric in a hoop or on clothing.
What are Peel Stick and Stitch Patterns?
Peel Stick and Stitch patterns are like water soluble stickers. They are single use designs that can be stuck on to the front of fabric. Then you can stitch over the pattern. After the design is stitched, the pattern washes away with warm water, leaving just the embroidery.
Peel Stick and Stitch patterns make it easy to transfer a design onto any material, especially clothing. They give the fabric additional structure and stability when you're stitching. Plus, after they're washed away, you'll never know what was stitched and what wasn't because you'll only see the lovely embroidery on the fabric.
